1,000 Gallons Of Syrup Spilled Onto New Orleans Road

    July 23, 2019 3:19PM CDT
    Share

    • A street in New Orleans’ French Quarter was closed for more than 12 hours after a truck spilled more than 1,000 gallons of syrup onto the road.
    • Police say on Monday evening a container truck carrying molasses began leaking its supply onto a four-lane stretch of Rampart Street.
    • The street had to be closed overnight while crews cleaned the syrup from the pavement and streetcar tracks, finally opening late Tuesday morning.
    • What’s the worst traffic jam you’ve ever been part of?  What’s better – a waffle, a pancake, or a beignet?
