A street in New Orleans’ French Quarter was closed for more than 12 hours after a truck spilled more than 1,000 gallons of syrup onto the road. Police say on Monday evening a container truck carrying molasses began leaking its supply onto a four-lane stretch of Rampart Street. The street had to be closed overnight while crews cleaned the syrup from the pavement and streetcar tracks, finally opening late Tuesday morning. What’s the worst traffic jam you’ve ever been part of? What’s better – a waffle, a pancake, or a beignet?
