30,000 Wreaths To be Placed At Gravestones At Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery

National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023 across the country including at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood. Retired United States Air Force, Lt. Col. Constantine Tsoukatos says this year they’re seeing a significant number of wreaths. Around 30,000.

Join the more than two million volunteers and supporters who will gather to Remember, Honor and Teach at more than 4,000 participating locations in all 50 states, at sea and abroad. It will be held on Saturday, December 16th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and parking will available at Allied Nursery along Chicago Street or at Bissell in Elwood with shuttle buses available.

NuMark Credit Union raised money to help purchase wreaths on grave sites at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. The credit union matched up to $1,500 to support the effort.
