The following is just a test… NASA, FEMA, and other interested agencies – foreign and domestic, will again test how well Earth is prepared for an asteroid strike.
The test coincides with next week’s International Academy of Astronautic Planetary Defense Conference.
Don’t worry, you won’t see personnel buzzing around your city. This is a “tabletop exercise,” Gizmodo reports. Yep! The fate of the world rests in a version of a board game.
The fictional incident will be the sixth such simulation exercise in which NASA has participated.
