Biden Signs Emmett Till Anti-Lynching Bill Into Law

An anti-lynching bill named after Emmett Till is now a federal law. President Biden yesterday signed the measure, which would define lynching as a hate crime. Congressman Bobby Rush championed the bill named after Till, a 14-year-old Black child from Chicago who was kidnapped, beaten, and brutally murdered in Mississippi by white supremacists in 1955.
