Body Found In Des Plaines River Near Channahon

The Will County Coroner’s Office is reporting the death of an unidentified male that was located in the Des Plaines River, 3/4 miles downstream from the Des Plaines River Bridge on the north side of the channel in Channahon. The Illinois State Police is investigating the incident. An autopsy is been scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2020. The final cause and manner of death will be determined at a later date.
