Brian May Wants A ‘Live Aid’ For Climate Change

    May 7, 2019 3:37PM CDT
    Share

    • Queen’s headlining set at the 1985 Live Aid concert served as the climax of the Bohemian Rhapsody biopic.  Now guitarist Brian May is calling for another Live Aid concert – this time for the issue of climate change.
    • May told the Mirror that he’d love to be a part of another Live Aid-style benefit, but says it will “take the younger generation to take that bull by the horns”.
    • May also warned that concerts aren’t always the answer, saying “People have seen so many concerts since Live Aid purporting to be solving the problems of the world so it’s not quite as easy as it seems.”
    • Do you think a Live Aid-style concert could work now?  Are massive music festivals so commonplace now that it would get lost in the shuffle?
