Bridge Deck Patching On Westbound I-80 At Chicago Street

The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that emergency bridge deck patching on the bridge carrying westbound Interstate 80 over Chicago Street (U.S.52/Illinois 53), in Joliet, will require lane closures until approximately 6 p.m. this evening. Two lanes on westbound I-80 will remain open at all times.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.
