Chicago’s Homeless ~ Uneducated and Jobless?

My heart goes out to all the people and animals living on the streets because Illinois is ridiculously overpriced on pretty much everything.  Something needs to be done to help save them and save Illinois’ population!   ~ Dawn

 

There’s at least 86,000 homeless people in the Chicagoland area.    There’s a lot of stereotypes about the homeless but here’s a fact that a lot of people don’t know……

Around 18,000 of Chicago’s homeless had a college education in 2017 and more than 13,000 had jobs!   Interesting.

Unfortunately the “housing wage” needed to afford a 2 bedroom apartment in urban areas is over $23 an hour!

 

I don’t know a lot of people making $23 an hour ….. do you?

Time to stop pushing college on today’s youth and focus on trades.
