Early Morning Murder in Joliet

Just before 1 am on July 27th, Joliet Police responded to a shots fired call in the 100 block of Hobbs. Police found a 19 year old male on the porch with multiple gunshot wounds. The Joliet Fire Department arrived on the scene, however, the victim died on location from his injuries.
An investigation is underway and the Joliet Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance. They are asking for any video surveillance that contains suspicious activity between the hours of 12:30 am and 1:00 am on July 27th, 2019. The area of focus is east of Miller Avenue to Akin Avenue and between E. Washington St. to Second Avenue.
