Fatal Crash Outbound Stevenson At Pulaski

A fatal crash on the outbound Stevenson in Chicago overnight could impact this morning’s commute. A man was killed after a driver hit the back of an IDOT minuteman truck. The IDOT vehicle was helping a broken down taxi on the outbound lanes of I-55 at Pulaski Road around 2 a.m. The driver ran into the back of the IDOT truck. The driver of the car was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he passed away. The outbound lanes of the I-55 are blocked off between Kedzie and Pulaski. Inbound traffic may be affected with gaper delays. The driver of IDOT was not hurt.
