The Crest Hill Police Department is currently investigating a traffic incident that occurred on or about May 26th at around 1:00 a.m. A Crest Hill Police Officer attempted to stop a Mitsubishi Endeavor in the area of Theodore Street and Edgerton. That vehicle fled from Police and a short pursuit occurred. The Mitsubishi ultimately struck another vehicle in the area of Jefferson Street and Reedswood Drive, killing that driver, 60-year-old Suos Khloth. The occupants of the offending Mitsubishi fled on foot from the vehicle after the collision. The Will County Sheriff’s Police Department is conducting a traffic reconstruction of the crash.

One of the alleged occupants in the fleeing vehicle, Jeremiah D. Grubbs was taken into custody and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Possession of a Firearm without a F.O.I.D. card.
