Flags To Fly At Half Staff To Honor Fallen DCFS Worker

Illinois is honoring a fallen DCFS employee. All U.S. and Illinois flags will fly at half staff at state facilities beginning today in memory of Deidre Silas. Silas was stabbed to death earlier this month while checking on six children in a home in Thayer. Benjamin Reed is charged with murder in the attack. Flags will fly at half-staff until sunset on Saturday.
