Funeral arrangements are set for two of the five victims killed in last week’s mass shooting at the Henry Pratt Company warehouse in Aurora. A visitation and funeral for Trevor Wehner will be held tomorrow at Gabel-Dunn Funeral Home in Sheridan. The Northern Illinois University student was gunned down on the first day of his internship at the company. Visitation for Vicente Juarez is Thursday at Dunn Family Funeral Home in Oswego, with a funeral service the next day at the funeral home. Juarez was a stock room attendant and fork lift operator.

Illinois State Police are confirming that the suspected gunman in the Aurora mass shooting was wrongly issued a gun license. Authorities say Gary Martin was able to obtain an Illinois Firearm Owners Identification Card and purchase the gun used in the deadly shooting despite having a felony conviction in Mississippi on his record. Martin lied on his gun license application and a records search didn’t catch it. State police are investigating why the conviction didn’t turn up on two background checks.
