Gouger Road Sink Hole Could Be Fixed By Early Next Week

The massive sink hole on Gouger Road south of I-80 may not be fixed until sometime next week. Will County engineer Jeff Ronaldson tells WJOL that a major piece of equipment has been delivered, but they have to wait to install the equipment until the water level within the creek goes down to an appropriate level. The weather hasn’t been cooperating with more rain this past week and Wednesday night. But three days of dry weather begins on Sunday. Ronaldson could not commit to an exact date due to the changing weather but hopes by early to mid-week, Gouger could be re-opened. Cherry Hill and Nelson are your alternates.
