Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale Lands Gig as Gibson Guitar Ambassador
Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale has broken down yet another sexual barrier in the world of rock. Guitar manufacturer Gibson has hired the singer-guitarist to serve as its first-ever female “brand ambassador,” officials announced Thursday. For Hale, the gig represents the realization of a dream she’s had since she was a teen, she says. “I am beyond honored to be named a Gibson ambassador,” Hale says. “Ever since I was 16 years old, it was my dream to someday be a part of the Gibson circle. It’s an incredible feeling to know that this dream has become a reality. Something magical ignites within me when I hold a Gibson guitar in my hands.” The pairing doesn’t mark the first time Hale has worked with the popular guitar company. She previously consulted Gibson designers in their production of two versions of the top-selling Lzzy Hale Explorer. Are rock star-endorsed guitars the same as the ones they play onstage?
