• Did you have trouble logging on to Facebook or Instagram on Wednesday?  Now we know the reason why.
  • On Thursday afternoon, Facebook posted that a ‘server configuration change’ led to the outage across multiple platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger.  The company apologized for the inconvenience to users and says issue has since been resolved and that “our systems are recovering”.
  • A service called Downdetector says it was the largest Facebook outage they’ve ever recorded going back to 2012, with more than 7.5 million users reporting problems.
