- R. Kelly’s lawyer claimed the singer was scheduled to perform in Dubai but that has turned out not to be true.
- The Dubai Media Office told the Associated Press R. Kelly was not booked for any venues or to meet the royal family.
- R. Kelly was charged in February with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse for allegedly assaulting three underage girls and one woman.
