Ice Storm Warning From 6 P.M. Tuesday Until 6 A.M. Wednesday…1st since 2009

Will County will be under an Ice Storm Warning from 6 p.m. Tuesday until 6 a.m. Wednesday. This is the first ice storm warning issued by the National Weather Service in more than 9 years. The last time was in December of 2009. These don’t happen that often. It’s because we’re going to see more ice accumulation than normal. A quarter of an inch forecast for Joliet which is very high for ice accumulation and up to half an inch at O’Hare.
