IDOT Warns Public About Fake Emails And Texts Seeking Personal Information

The Illinois Department of Transportation is warning residents of fake emails and texts asking for personal information. IDOT spokesperson Maria Castenada says the messages that claim they are from her agency are part of a phishing scam. She added that no one should click on any links in the message because it could put malware on your phone or computer.
