Illinois Emergency Management Department Observes National Preparedness Month

September is National Preparedness Month.  Illinois Emergency Management Director Alicia Tate-Nadeau says the basics of putting together an emergency kit include water, a three-day supply of perishable food, and a first aid kit.  She says other items include a flashlight with extra batteries, battery-powered weather radio, and supplies for your pets.
