Illinois Leads Nation In FBI Firearms Background Checks

New data shows that Illinois leads the nation when performing FBI firearms background checks. FBI data indicates that over seven million background checks have been conducted on Illinois residents so far this year. Illinois also is at the top of the rankings for rechecking permits. Kentucky ranks second in background checks with more than three million.
