Illinois Offering Tax Amnesty Program

The state of Illinois is offering a one-time tax amnesty program for those who are eligible. Those who pay their tax liabilities in full can have associated penalties and interest waived if they incurred them between July 1st of 2011 and June 30th of 2018. Taxpayers have until November 15th to make the full payment. The Governor’s Office of Management and Budget says they think the tax amnesty program will bring in 175-million dollars in outstanding tax liabilities.
