Illinois Senate OK’s Legal Weed

- The recreational use of marijuana is on the fast track to becoming legal in Illinois.
- In a 38-17 vote Wednesday evening, the Illinois Senate approved a bill that seeks to make marijuana legal for adults 21 and older. The vote came only hours after it was approved by the state’s Senate Executive Committee. The legislation now heads to the House.
