NEW YORK, NEW YORK – JUNE 20: (L-R) Chris Shiflett, Rami Jaffee, Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear and Taylor Hawkins pose onstage as The Foo Fighters reopen Madison Square Garden on June 20, 2021 in New York City. The concert, with all attendees vaccinated, is the first in a New York arena to be held at full-capacity since March 2020 when the pandemic lead to the closure of live performance venues. - Rumors are flying that the Foo Fighters have settled on a drummer – two drummers, actually – to replace Taylor Hawkins on their upcoming festival shows.
- According to a report in The Sun, Pearl Jam’s Matt Cameron will be the primary drummer, backed up by Atom Willard of Angels & Airwaves.
- Both drummers, according to reports, have been rehearsing with the band at Studio 606.
- Hawkins died last year while the Foos were on tour in South America. Their first show of 2023 will be May 24th in Gilford, New Hampshire.
- Is Cameron a logical choice? Who else would be a great pick?
