At long last, Joan Jett is getting the Sunday Night Football spotlight she deserves.
The freshly-minted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will perform this show’s theme song, “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night”, along with Carrie Underwood this season.
The theme song, of course, was adapted from Jett’s 1988 hit “I Hate Myself For Loving You”. In past seasons, it’s been performed by Underwood, Pink, and Faith Hill.
SNF producer Fred Gaudelli called it “a perfect way to celebrate the league’s 100th season by going back to the beginning”.
