Q Rock  has learned that a string of overdoses in Joliet that have occurred since Sunday, September 22nd. It was on Sunday at 8:34 a.m. that officers were called to the 700 block of Landau Avenue in reference to an unresponsive male. Upon arriving officers found a 40-year-old male deceased inside the residence and a 35-year-old male who was unconscious. The Joliet Fire Department revived the unconscious individual and transported him to Silver Cross Hospital.

On Tuesday, officers were called to the 400 block of Bridge Street just before 9:30 a.m. in response to four individuals not breathing. Joliet Police and Fire both responded to the incident and began working together to try and revive the four individuals. A 39-year-old female and 29-year-old male were transported to an area hospital and later pronounced deceased. The other two, a 28-year-old male and 30-year-old male were taken to the hospital in critical condition. The Joliet Fire Department Hazmat team was called to the scene due to the possible presence of Fentanyl which was later confirmed. Suspected Cocaine and Fentanyl were recovered at the scene and Detectives are waiting toxicology reports for confirmation.
