Joliet Robbery Suspect Arrested Less Than 10 Hours After Robbery

A Joliet bank robbery suspect who was considered armed and dangerous was caught less than a day after the robbery. Joliet Police was called on Thursday morning at 9:30 regarding a robbery at the First Midwest Bank of Joliet at 1415 W. Jefferson Street. No one was injured and the suspect left prior to the arrival of officers. Fifty-nine year old Tom Tynan who lives near the bank was arrested and booked into the Will County Detention Center just after 6 p.m. Thursday. Tynan address is listed as 2638 Par Four Lane in Joliet. He’s been charged with one felony county of Financial Institution Robbery.
