Farting on someone isn’t the same as bullying. At least that’s the opinion of an Australian judge, who has tossed out a lawsuit filed by a man who claims his ex-boss gassed him several times a day.
Following Thursday’s ruling, alleged victim David Hingst vowed to file an appeal, saying the constant exposure to his supervisor’s gas caused him “extreme stress.”
Hingst claims his boss, Greg Short, would come into his tiny, windowless office several times a day to float an air biscuit. He eventually quit and filed at $1.8 million lawsuit, claiming his the gas attacks were a form of bullying.
Regardless of whether farting can be considered bullying, should this case have been thrown out? What would you do if your boss treated you like that?
