Kendall County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Homicide in Boulder Hill

 

Kendall County, IL (November 11, 2020, 8:45 PM)

The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred earlier today in the 0-99 Block of Sierra Road in the Boulder Hill neighborhood.

The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call for reports of shots being fired in the area at approximately 11:06 AM.  Upon arriving in the area deputies located two women suffering from gunshot wounds.  A woman in her 40’s was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced deceased as a result of the injuries she sustained.  The second woman in her 20’s was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and is receiving ongoing medical treatment.

Detectives responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.  Numerous items of evidence were identified, collected, and evaluated.  At this time it appears the shots were fired from the roadway, possibly from a vehicle. A black SUV was observed in the area at the time of the shooting.

Sheriff’s Office personnel have completed processing the scene on Sierra Rd and as a result of the investigation, several investigative leads have been developed and are currently being pursued.  Based on the investigation thus far, this is not believed to be a random act.
