Linkin Park Reaches Gold with “One More Light”

  • “One More Light”, the title track from Linkin Park’s seventh studio album has now been certified gold in the United States.  The song was the last to be released by Linkin Park after the death of vocalist Chester Bennington.
  • The surviving members of Linkin Park realized “One More Light” took on a much more personal meaning after the suicide of Bennington in 2017. “One More Light was written with the intention of sending love to those who lost someone,” Mike Shinoda said when the song’s video was released.  “Fans all over the world have gravitated towards this song as a declaration of love and support for the band and the memory of our dear friend, Chester.”
  • Bennington was found dead by suicide in his California home on July 20, 2017.  Linkin Park has said they are in no hurry to replace Bennington.  Bennington can now be heard on Lamb of God’s guitarist Mark Morton’s song “Cross Off.”
  • Do you think that Linkin Park will ever be able to find a replacement for Bennington?
