Medical Marijuana Use Contributing To Low Supply

Dispensary workers are trying to keep up with demand for medical and recreational marijuana. Patient numbers surged at the end of last year after the state added new conditions for medical marijuana use. Illinois Department of Public Health data shows that the number of approved applications for the Medical Cannabis Patient Program more than doubled between 2018 and 2019. The medical demand is making it more difficult for dispensaries to keep recreational pot on the shelves.
