Megadeth to Venture into Familiar Territory on New Album The members of Megadeth, who have a history of tackling unconventional cover songs, plan on remaining true to form with their follow-up to 2016’s “Dystopia.” Although he refuses to reveal the song’s title, frontman Dave Mustaine says he’s “stoked” about the band’s latest remake. “I can’t wait to tell you what cover song we chose for this record,” he says. “I’ll tell you soon. I think you’ll get it. I’ve been giving you guys hints for a while. But I haven’t really let anybody know. So I’m pretty stoked.” The songs covered by Megadeth in the past include the Sex Pistols’ “Anarchy in the U.K.,” Alice Cooper’s “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid,” among others. A release date for the upcoming album has not yet been announced. What’s Megadeth’s greatest song? What’s the band’s best cover?
