Metallica Donates To Help Build A New Pediatric Wing At Hospital

- Metallica continues to fund charities wherever they may roam, this time cutting a huge check to help build a new pediatric wing at a hospital in Portugal.
- Before taking the stage at Restelo Stadium in Lisbon last week, the metal rockers donated €40,000 ($44,800 USD) to Associação Joãozinho to help expand São João Hospital in Porto.
- The funds came from the band’s All Within My Hands Foundation, which seeks to “assist and enrich the lives of members of the communities who have supported the band for years, as well as encourage participation from fans and friends.”
