New Legislation Designed To Use Personal Security Camera Footage To Solve Crimes

New legislation is being created to increase the use of personal security camera footage to help solve crimes. The bill is sponsored by state representative Bill Zalewski. Under the plan, those submitting video footage from Ring or Nest will get 100 dollars if it helps in prosecuting a crime. The measure is already underway in northwest suburban Elmwood Park.
