A pair of NFL players have bailed out a migrant, detained by ICE, since May.
22-year-old Jose Bello came to the US when he was 3. He was arrested by ICE officials for an outstanding DUI after reading a poem, critical of the Trump administration, at a Kern County, California Board of Supervisors meeting, FOX News reports.
Bello had been held since May. Unable to pay a $50,000 bond.
Redskins corner Josh Norman and Saints linebacker Demario Davis contributed to pay the bond.
Does arresting someone on an outstanding DUI jive with ICE officials assertions that they’re going after hard criminals? Was detaining this guy for months a good use of taxpayer money?
