• He may have lost a lot of money by agreeing to postpone “The Stadium Tour,” but don’t expect to see Nikki Sixx in the unemployment line anytime soon. The Motley Crue bassist has reportedly sold the group’s entire catalog of songs to a music publishing company.
  • The deal gives Hipgnosis Songs 100 percent of the royalties from Motley Crue’s 305-song catalog, a rep for the company says. Sixx’s take for selling the songs has not been revealed.
  • “Motley Crue was single-handedly responsible for the Los Angeles rock explosion of the 1980s,” says Hipgnosis founder Merck Mercuriadis. “Nikki was the catalyst and architect of all of that and we are delighted to welcome him to the Hipgnosis family.”
