On This Day in 2011 THE BIG 4 Took Over Cali! Will It Ever Happen Again?

In 2011
Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax played a Big Four show at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.  It was the first of just two Big Four shows staged in the U.S.  During the concert the bands also received plaques in honor of the DVD “The Big Four: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria,” which had been certified double platinum.
