The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced that they are performing at the pyramids of Giza in Egypt March 15th.
The band released a video to announce the show on Facebook.
The show’s announcement comes after the band revealed that recording for their new album has been temporarily halted due to the wildfires in the area of California where they intended to record.
Only a handful of major artists have ever performed in Egpyt. The Grateful Dead, Mariah Carey and Pink Floyd have performed there in the past.
Do you think that concerts should be held in historically preserved and protected sites?
