Scientists at the University of Edinburgh are testing a new form of birth control – a gel that man can rub on their arms and shoulders. The gel is called NES/T and it works by causing a reaction in the brain that makes men stop producing sperm. The project’s lead researcher, says it’s close to 99% effective, same as the pill, and won’t interfere with future sperm production. Now the university is looking for volunteer couples to help test it out. Could you see this gel becoming popular? Is it fair that women carry most of the responsibility for birth control?
