The search for an alligator in Chicago’s Humboldt Park Lagoon is entering its third day. Crowds of people gathered yesterday as authorities tried to capture the gator. The search began after the reptile was spotted swimming in the lagoon Tuesday morning. The alligator has generated a buzz on social media, including people posing as the gator creating multiple Twitter accounts.

This isn’t the first time we’re seen an alligator in Chicago. In 2010 a  3 1/2-4 foot Alligator was found along the North branch of the Chicago River, Aug. 23, 2010.
