Second Time In Three Years Channahon Property Taxpayers Get Refund

Just in time for the holidays, Channahon homeowners will have a little extra cash in their pockets. For the second time in three years, taxpayers will be getting a refund. Channahon School Board President District 17 Joe Pope says it’s a combination of a great pattern of decision making, plus good fiscal management of funds that has contributed to the refund. Plus Pope says the state has made some decisions that has given school districts clarity when balancing their budget. Taxpayers are expected to get slightly less than the amount they received in a refund two years ago.
