• Corey Taylor probably doesn’t like to sleep, at least if you count the project ideas he has running through his head. The Slipknot (and Stone Sour) frontman just released his first solo work this week, but is already tossing out album ideas for the next Slipnknot album.
  • Talking with the That Jamieson Show, Taylor said that he and his bandmates are already talking about doing a followup to last year’s We Are Not Your Kind. “I was just talking to Clown the other day about what we should… ‘Cause we’re obviously thinking about what the next album could be like. And he’s in this trippy place, dude, which is rad,” Taylor says. He continues, “I love it when he’s in this crazy mindset, because I know I’m gonna hear stuff that I’ve never heard before. He’s so goddamn creative, and that inspires Jim [Root]. And all the tumblers really start to fall. So it’s pretty rad. I can’t wait.”
  • Guitarist Jim Root himself has been talking about writing new music since April, saying that whatever doesn’t fit for a Slipknot album may work for a solo album.
  • Summing up his experience working with Slipknot in a recent interview with Kaaos TV, Taylor says, “We’re living our dream, it’s been over 20 years now, and we still get to do this,’ you know?”
  • Are you ready for a new Slipknot album? Would you listen to solo albums from members of the band other than Corey Taylor?
