Slipknot Replaces Disgruntled Percussionist…Welcome Back Joey!! #TheKnot
While the bitter war of words between Chris Fehn and his former bandmates in recent weeks has made a reconciliation seem unlikely, Slipknot has now removed all doubt by hiring a replacement for the percussionist.
The band announced Monday they’ve brought back former drummer Joey Jordison, who was fired in 2013. Although his new role as percussionist is a step down from his previous duties, Jordison is nonetheless thrilled with his rehiring, saying, “I am unbelievably excited to re-join my brothers in Slipknot! I always had nothing but love for the guys despite our disagreements. I’m really looking forward to embracing my new role as percussionist.”
The change in personnel comes after Fehn filed a lawsuit against Slipknot, claiming he was treated like a “second-class citizen.”
Will Jordison’s return change the band’s dynamic? Do you think Fehn’s complaints are valid?
