Slipknot Will Never Ditch The Masks

- Slipknot’s iconic masks might be hot and uncomfortable to wear on stage, but the band will never get rid of them, says percussionist Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan.
- Crahan says he’s asked “all the time” if Slipknot would ever go maskless, and responds “Why do I need to do that?”. He says he’d feel “cheapened” without the masks and that “I really couldn’t fathom us any other way”.
- That’s not to say it hasn’t crossed his mind – Crahan admist “There’s not a day that doesn’t go by that every member wishes we didn’t have to wear that stuff”.
- Would Slipknot still be Slipknot without the masks? How would fans react if they decided to take them off permanently?
