- Of all the axemen in metal right now, whom would you consider the cream of the crop? If you said the guys from Slipknot, you’d be correct.
- In this year’s Music Radar poll ranking the “Best Metal Guitarists In The World,” Jim Root and Mick Thomson come out on top.
- With 17,000 votes, the duo beat out Metallica’s James Hetfield, both Munky and Head from Korn, as well as Kerry King and Gary Holt from Slayer.
- Complaints that the Iowa rockers’ latest release, We Are Not Your Kind, is lacking in the guitar solo department didn’t seem to affect the fan poll, nor keep the band’s 6th album from reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
- Do you agree with the selection? Who would top your best metal guitarist list?
