- 2021 is shaping up to be a great year for ‘rockumentaries’. Here are some of the most-anticipated rock docs coming in the new year.
- The biggest is probably Get Back, the upcoming Beatles doc from Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson – a ‘fly on the wall’ doc capturing the band’s final recording sessions and their iconic ‘rooftop concert’ at the Apple Records building in London.
- Speaking of the Beatles, a six-part Showtime documentary will focus on Paul McCartney teaming up with legendary producer Rick Rubin.
- Documentaries about Tina Turner, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, and The Velvet Underground are also on the way in 2021.
