- Tool is back in a big way. Not only has their newest single, “Fear Inoculum,” set a new record for being the longest song to make the Billboard 100 chart, but one of their oldalbums has become a Top 10 hit all over again.
- Tool’s 1996 album “Ænima” has taken the number 10 position on the Billboard 200 chart, 23 years after it originally peaked at number two. While the hoopla surrounding the group’s upcoming album may have played a part in re-generating interest in Tool’s previous work, it should be noted that their entire catalog became available on digital and streaming platforms just last week.
- Meanwhile, “Fear Inoculum” checks in at 93 on the Hot 100 chart, also racking up more than 4 million views on Spotify. Running 10 minutes, 21 seconds, the track is the longest song in history to make the chart.
- Are you expecting the album “Fear Inoculum” to be better than “Ænima?” How do you feel about 10-plus minute songs?
