Video: Homelessness Growing Along Jefferson Street And Inching Into Residential Areas

Jefferson Street businesses in Joliet are concerned about the growing problem of homelessness. People are sleeping at the shuttered Kmart along W. Jefferson. The store has been closed for four years. Reports of people living in small wooded areas behind homes. Our sister station, 1340 AM WJOL, was told that people were living inside the closed Senor Tequila restaurant, so fencing was put up around the building to keep people out.
