- In an interview with Ultimate Guitar, Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider recalled his initial reaction to Metallica back in 1984.
- Metallica was opening for Twisted Sister that year.
- Snider admitted saying to his bass player Mark Mendoza, “You know, this band has a lot of heart, but they’re not going anywhere”.
- Snider thought they were “too heavy to be hugely successful”.
- Metallica, of course, has gone on to sell more than 125 million albums worldwide.
