Why is Megadeth Opening for Five Finger Death Punch?

- You would think with their history, successful catalog and the snarky icon that is Dave Mustaine that Megadeth wouldn’t be opening for a much younger act but Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson explains that his band’s decision comes out of respect for the band. It also just makes good business sense for them, too.
- Megadeth is opening for Five Finger while on a 2020 European tour. Ellefson told Danny Stoakes that one reason the band is opening for Five Finger is because they love Ivan Moody and company. “Their success is every bit earned.”, Ellefson explained.
- The decision to open also makes it easier for Megadeth to line their pockets. “We’ve been looking at ways to tour Europe without doing the festival circuit.” The tour, which will be held in stadiums across Europe, means “a lot of people will be there.”, according to Ellefson.
